The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform visitors to Similio about the storage of data and its processing in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Data Protection Act (DSG), as well as about decision-making options on the website in this context.
In general, the company information displayed on Similio is exclusively publicly accessible data, the collection and reproduction of which does not require the explicit consent of the companies concerned.
Furthermore, Similio does not process any sensitive data of displayed companies or of visitors to the website.

General information on data processing


When visiting websites, certain data is automatically created and stored.
This data is processed on the basis of Article 6 para 1 f DSGVO (lawfulness of processing), as there is a legitimate interest in the error-free operation of Similio, which is made possible by the collection of web server log files.

Newsletter


By subscribing to the newsletter, visitors to the website give their consent to be contacted by Similio for information purposes. The stored contact data will be used exclusively for the newsletter and will not be passed on. The revocation of consent and the associated deletion of the data can be done, among other things, by unsubscribing from the newsletter.

Data security


The use of TLS (Transport Layer Security), an encryption protocol for secure data transmission on the Internet, can ensure the protection of confidential data. The use of this security measure is recognisable by the lock symbol at the top left of the browser and the use of the https scheme as part of the URL.

Cookies


Cookies are short data packets between the web browser and server to store user-specific data. There are first-party cookies, which are created by Similio, and third-party cookies, which are created by other websites such as Google Analytics. There are also three categories of cookies: strictly necessary, functional and goal-oriented cookies.
Similio uses cookies to increase the user experience for the visitor. Some cookies remain stored on the visitor's terminal device in order to recognise the visitor on the next visit.
In the browser settings, cookie settings can be changed, cookies can be viewed and deleted. If cookies are deactivated in the settings, some functions and pages of Similio may not work.

Visitor behaviour analysis


The evaluation of visitor behaviour is anonymous and no conclusions can be drawn about the person. For the statistical evaluation, Similio uses the services of Google Analytics, which uses target-oriented cookies for this purpose.
In this regard, Similio refers to the currently valid version of the terms of use and privacy policy of Google Analytics.

Integration of social media services


Similio integrates elements of social media services to display images, videos and texts. By visiting pages of these services, data is transmitted to the respective social media service and stored there. Similio has no access to this data and cannot influence its processing.
